Monty's Bar opened in Dec 2002 & is located seconds away from the edge of Lake Wakatipu. Owner Barry Ellis has created a unique & sophisticated venue for enjoyingthe Monteith's range of award winning premium tap beers & the only Bar inQueenstown with their full range on tap. All beer is matched with mouthwatering meals where appropriate from our all day menu, designed specifically with New Zealand flavours such as Cervena Venison, a recipe which changes regularly, South Island Mussels and our Hook, Line & Sinker featuring local seafood.The interior is tastefully decorated using warm infuences with a mixture of stone, recycled timber & carpet flooring, leather seating & materials such as zinc, copper & granite used throughout.The ambience is cool & comfortable during summer with an open sunny garden bar & an enormous fireplace a feature attraction in winter.
